UK Government Faces legal challenge over FiT cuts

Friends of the Earth are seeking a judicial review following DECCs failure to amend its plans to significantly cut the current Feed-in-Tariffs. This follows another legal challenge that has been brought by solar power developer Solarcentury.

Friends of the Earth are seeking a judicial review following DECCs failure to amend its plans to significantly cut the current Feed-in-Tariffs. Friends of the Earth had given DECC until 16:00 on Friday 11 November to amend its proposed changes to the FiT scheme but with no announcement by DECC, the green group confirmed its intention to push for a judicial review. This follows another legal challenge that has been brought by a group of solar companies thatt highlight that the proposed changes deliver a ready made solution providing no opportunity to respond to the consultation.
