Most contracts in the UK energy markets continued to lose ground this week enforcing the downward trend that has been in play since the start of the month. The Winter 11 contracts closed the week at £57.60MW/h and 68.85p/therm.

The Winter 11 contracts closed the week at £57.60MW/h and 68.85p/therm. The market has a decidedly soft feel to it responding only to short term supply and demand fundamentals. Temperatures remain above seasonal norm and as a consequence gas storage levels look very healthy. LNG supplies also look to be robust now and for the near future.
