A combination of factors appear to have influenced UK power demand and NGC is said to be keeping a close eye on demand outturn going forward which may cause it to review its winter outlook.

A combination of factors appear to have influenced UK power demand causing National Grid to revise downwards its winter demand forecasts for Weeks 45 & 46. It is said to be keeping a close eye on demand outturn going forward which may cause it to review its winter outlook. Demand has been a lot lower than in previous years with similar weather conditions. It could be a simple combination of school holidays and clock change although industrial performance must surely have an impact on demand going forward.
