Warm weather and over supply all helped to maintain a downward pressure on gas prices both in the prompt markets and further out on the curve.
Warm weather and over supply all helped to maintain a downward pressure on gas prices both in the prompt markets and further out on the curve. The warm weather in recent days fed through to falls in gas demand as well as gas imports from Norway. And with more warm weather forecast, prompt contracts are likely to remain under pressure. It was US stock data that helped to put downward pressure on the contracts further out with Winter 08 closing just below 85.00p/th.
