Spectron bought by Imarex

15 February 2008

Spectron one of the big energy brokers has been bought by a Norwegian freight competitor.

Spectron one the big four energy brokers in London has been bought by Imarex a large Norwegian freight broker for £70m. Whilst it is a bit of a surprise that Spectron was up for sale it is no doubt a fantastic deal for the small number of shareholders who bought the company from the receivers in 1999. The company was mainly owned by a few of the original brokers/management and as a result they have all had a fantastic return on their investments.
