Currency fluctuations causing pain on UK gas imports

Currency moves affecting most of the commodity trading seen on European gas. Coal and oil fluctuations are often led by a change in currency.

The strength of the pound falling to new lows has meant that those European suppliers keen to export to the UK are having to see UK prices rises significantly to offset any currency fluctuations. With the change in currencies of around 15% it is no surprise that much of the UK gas price increas stems from these currency fluctuations. read more ...
