The fall continues

01 December 2006

The market is falling aggressively as players are determined to sell on low prompt prices.

The prompt was whacked yesterday in aggressive selling which although supported by a few generators seemed to have no effect. Day ahead and next week (Wk 49) were trading marginally above £30. This saw heavy pressure on the following week, January and Summer 07. Which are all still trading above where the day ahead and week 49 are.

Summer 07 broke £34 and is likely to continue to fall with the amount of gas around. But Winter 07 has remained at normal levels. Most feel that the sprak spread is still trading at a high level and it was sold down yesterday. Many view this as an area to trade more aggressively.
