Q1 06 rises on French strikes

07 November 2005

Market moves upwards on fears and jitteryness. Also last week the market looked a little oversold.

The bearish run seems to be coming to an end as players look at the effect on the interconnector as a result of a French strike. Moreover, the gas prices stepped up on cold weather fears and supply problems. Q1 06 rose £2.50, the recent bear run caused on mild weather and plant availability was beginning to look a little over sold. Although the market had looked more stable with controlled buying and selling, there was no doubt that if any form of bullish fundamental returned then there was every chance that the market would spark upwards. The jitteryness had not left.
