Winter 05 power to remain at current levels with gas to fall.
Winter 05 has appeared to be going in only one direction up. But with spark spread levels in the prompt at £9 and April at £9.20 and Summer 05 at £7.40, and Winter 05 spark spread languishing at £4.60 is it in fact more of a buy than a sell. Powerisk suggests that the gas market has traditionally been more volatile, and although £5 is a spark level which some traders believe to be fair value. It is more likely that the gas has been over bought, with this over buying gas will go into storage and is more likely to be sold down for the spread to correct to more traditional levels.
