European Power curves fall but the Brits seem to do things differently

03 June 2005

Europeans still fundamentally different to the Brits.

Britain and the Europeans seem to be diverging in everything, the EU constitution is on the back burner. European power prices fall almost across the board on lower emissions levels, oil prices remain static, but power prices and gas prices in the UK rise. The Uk power trader is wary of any whiff of bullish activity and although all around them are saying prices are now high and appear to be high in comparison to their European neighbours, they insist on remaining bullish. It can't and won't last forever.
